Note From Your Board of Trustees 2/12/21
Hello Unity of Melbourne Family
Thank you for coming to our recent Zoom session Putting It All on the Table held on Jan. 31. It is always great to see you and to hear how we can support you. We walked away with a lot of ideas and great feedback.
We want to let you know about two upcoming opportunities to connect. We would really like your participation in these two events.
The first is on Saturday, March
Note From Your Board of Trustees
Why, why, why?
To anyone who has ever had or been around a toddler you know that WHY is their favorite question. Why is the sky blue? Why is the moon called the moon? Why do we have to sleep?
Along with cuteness, and minor annoyance, there is wisdom in this incessant line of questioning.
Somewhere along the way adults stopped asking WHY. We became more concerned with how and what. What are we doing next? How
Prayer Chaplain Contribution
In this prayerful moment, we slow our breath and let our thoughts rest.
Moving our attention within, we can begin to notice the sweet Presence of Holy Spirit within us and surrounding us. We pause and receive the Comfort and Peace that resides here for us, as us and in us.
We realize that no matter what is happening in our lives or in the world around us, that we are never alone. Amidst challenges and transitions
Trusting the Process of Change: Truth Be Told
I am so excited about our journey through this series together. This book, Finding Yourself in Transition by Robert Brumet, has been so helpful to me as I find myself, more and more, trusting the process of change. We’ve said from the beginning, that change is inevitable. It’s going to happened, whether it is set in motion by the us or by the Universe. So, the best we can do is find ways to move
Trusting the Process of Change: Void of Understanding
The keynote speaker was in such a hurry to get to the venue that when he arrived and sat down at the head table, he suddenly realized that had forgotten his dentures. Turning to the man next to him, he whispered, “I forgot my teeth!”
The man said, “No problem.” With that he reached into his briefcase and pulled out a pair of dentures. “Try these,” he said.
The speaker tried them. “Too loose,” he said.
The man
Trusting the Process of Change: Let’s Face It
As we move through transitions both individually and collectively, may we be reminded of just how much we are loved by God. May we be reminded of the love we give and receive from friends and family. May we experience God’s love through the sunshine, the greenery that surrounds us and through every blessing that continues to flow into our lives. I mean, let’s face it, there’s more to you than that. Let’s face it.
Trusting the Process of Change
The “P” Word
Okay… So, you’re my tribe. Right? We’ve been doing this beautiful dance together for a few years now. We’ve been transparent with each other, and you know that despite my position, I’m really another traveler on the journey with you. Well, with that transparency in mind, there’s something I gotta tell you.
You’ll be the first to hear it in this setting. Feel free to share it with anyone who is not watching today.

Not Our Jobs: Prosperity Part 4
It wasn’t hard to find something funny about jobs. Here is a comparison between work and prison. In prison you spend the majority of your time in an 8×10 cell. At work you spend most of your time in a 6×8 cubicle.
In prison you get 3 free meals a day. At work you get a break for 1 meal and you have to pay for it.
In prison you get time off for good behavior. At
What Is The Plan: Prosperity Part 3
At Sunday School, they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny, a child in the kindergarten class, seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam’s ribs. Later in the week, Johnny’s mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill, and said, “Johnny what is the matter?” Little Johnny responded, “I have a pain in my side. I think I’m going to
Let’s Make Room: Prosperity Part 2
Today’s lesson is the second in a series based on Catherine Ponder’s book Dynamic Laws of Prosperity. Someone asked me why people in Unity talked about prosperity so much.
When we talk about prosperity we are talking about more than just money. We’re talking about having plenty of peace – peace of mind, and having plenty of health and wholeness, as well as having whatever we need to fulfill our life’s purpose. So, we will be
Spiritual Tender: Prosperity Part 1
Now, whether you’re new to Unity or whether you’ve been around for a long time, please know that when we talk about prosperity, we’re talking about a prosperous life in every aspect of your life… not limited to financial prosperity. So, we will be talking about a LIFE of prosperity. I also want to say that many times ministers begin talking about prosperity when the spiritual community’s financial outlook appears bleak.
