Status on Our Current Building
We remain in the Due Diligence period of the sales contract, which runs through July 31st. Earlier this week, additional contractors working with the buyer visited for about 90 minutes looking at the building truss system and roof. This analysis by various specialty trades all provides the necessary input into the buyers final decision whether their plans are within the financial boundaries they have developed.

A contract to sell our building and property was completed by all parties last Friday, June 16th. Earlier this week, in my role as Director of Operations, along with our Broker and agent, I met with the buyer, their broker/agent, and a cadre of contractors to tour the “guts” of the building and property, as part of the 45-day “Due Diligence” period.

The Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, June 14th to consider 3 contracts for the purchase of our existing building and property.
This meeting was necessary when the previous buyer defaulted on the purchase contract, which allowed our Broker to seek additional potential buyers.

During the past week, I have fielded a number of calls and emails regarding the sale of our building and wondering if Unity of Melbourne is closing?.

Thank you for your continued interest in the status of the sale of our building and the leasing of our new space.
We are still in the “Due Diligence” period of the sale, which allows the buyer to perform environmental assessments and surveys. The Due Diligence period expires on May 20th . Closing on the building remains scheduled for May 30th, and efforts are well underway to make that transition smooth.
