This Weeks Update
The activity surrounding our upcoming move to our new space seems to be kicked into a higher gear.
With knowing the dates to move, there is coordination of what we’ll need in the new space, scheduling various trades (painters, IT, security, cleaners) to transform the space into “ours”.
Vashti Saint Germain has been working tirelessly in setting the “visual tone” for the space, and like any manager worth a darn, my job is to get

Status on Our Current Building
The building and property at 2401 N Harbor City Blvd now belong a new owner, and Unity of Melbourne has signed a 5-year lease on a new space in the Bowe Gardens Shopping Center (corner of Sarno Road and Croton Road) that will be available to us on October 1st. Status on Our Current Building
At the end of last Sunday’s worship service, Valerie Holloway, President Board of Trustees announced the closing documents were signed resulting in the completion of the sale of our building and property at 2401 N Harbor City Blvd.
Valerie acknowledged and extended the appreciation to Rev Beth Head and the Board at the time who made the courageous decision to purchase the building in 2013-2014 and the efforts to transform it into

As mentioned last week, the property survey has been completed and delivered and the prospective buyer has accepted. There appears to be strong momentum to complete the settlement/closing on our building and property by August 30th.
Judy and I are working to identify all the necessary steps and contacts in which to notify our current vendors of our upcoming address change. The seemingly most important is the City of Melbourne, as there

Status on Our Current Building
There has been a flurry of activity the past week.
The prospective buyer has completed an additional escrow deposit. The property survey has been completed and delivered. Our agent/broker has been advised the buyer’s financing has been approved, and I have ordered the mortgage payoff from our lender, Marine Bank & Trust.
All seems all is in order for our Board to sign the closing documents on Wednesday, August 30th.

October 25, 2023 Update
“It is done.”
On Monday, Oct 23rd, I met with Dr. Daniel Eley at 2401 N Harbor city Blvd just after 12:00pm and handing him 4 sandwich-sized bags of keys. Keys to the exterior doors, keys to the interior doors, keys to the mailbox, and even keys to the 8 paper towel dispensers throughout the building.

With the end of the Due Diligence phase of the sale of our building and property, our next milestone is the finale settlement and closing date, scheduled for Wednesday August 30th. This past week, all parties met on a teleconference call to review all aspects of the sale and all appears to be in order.

The Due Diligence phase of the sale of our building and property ended on Monday, July 31st without any word from the prospective buyer or their Broker. What does that mean?

The Due Diligence phase of the sale of our building and property is nearing the end date on Monday, July 31st.
This past week, I assisted the buyers complete a multi-page Environmental Questionnaire required as part of their financial institution submission. As much as I have grumbled over the past several months on the amount of old files that have stockpiled throughout the building, I was very appreciative I was able to

We remain in the “Due Diligence” phase of the building and property sale through July 31st. The prospective buyers have requested some additional information and we have provided such. All indications are they have all the information needed to continue with the sale. We continue to affirm they have found our building and property as the right and perfect place in which to manifest their dreams.
