Status on Our Current Building
As mentioned last week, the property survey has been completed and delivered and the prospective buyer has accepted. There appears to be strong momentum to complete the settlement/closing on our building and property by August 30th.
Judy and I are working to identify all the necessary steps and contacts in which to notify our current vendors of our upcoming address change. The seemingly most important is the City of Melbourne, as there is a process in which we must follow that results in the issuance of an Occupancy Certificate before we may occupy and hold services in our new space.
Our own Vashti Saint Germain has been hard at work designing banners for the new Sanctuary based on the “12 Powers” as developed by Unity co-founder Charles Fillmore. I look forward to having a mock-up soon.
Thanks to congregant Ben Lamons for his continued work in removing LCD projectors from classrooms ceilings and relocation of bookcases for inclusion in the upcoming liquidation sale, currently scheduled for mid-October.
How You Can Help
The patience the members and congregation have shown is deeply appreciated as we move through this process. The prayers and support are and have been greatly appreciated.
I’ll probably delay the dissemination of next weeks eNews from Wednesday morning to possibly Wednesday (Aug 30th) evening, allowing an update as to the completion of the sale of our property and building.
Should you have any questions, please ask me.
